toneLamp takes a scrolling, tangible, visual input and scans it at rates from 24Hz up to higher audio frequencies. It scans fluctuating luminance values across the y axis as a kind of morphing, long-form wavetable. It was built to investigate the sound of changing patterns - allowing for the control of harmonics, rhythm and phrasing through one integrated visual input.
