Jasmine Butt(she/her) is a Bristol based post-graduate researcher whose background contains a mix of analogue film, analogue synthesis and live musical performance. ![[Guest_photobySimonHolliday.jpg]] Her Research is based within the CHCI (Creative Human Computer Interaction) group in UWE's Computer Science Research Centre. This year she will be running two studies exploring [[Optical Sound]], detailed here [[Camera Noise]]. Her analogue film work often explores analogue special effects techniques, using new fabrication methods to build rigs for the darkroom and live projection - such as frame by frame printing off a phone screen, or infinite long-form 16mm film loopers. These films are used in music videos and as live visuals for musical performances.
